Just wondering, does someones weight really have an impact on their emotional relationships? Physically, it obviously would, but if someone decided to be less shallow do you think it would be hard for them to love someone that is overweight?

This is an interesting question...and one id like to see other opinions on.

Judging on personal experience it seems it is harder to get to the point of being emotionally involved in a romantic relationship because in many cases the physical aspect of weight gets in the way before that can happen. however in a situation where you get to know the person on a deeper level before you actually see each other it might be slightly different. of course it depends on the people involved. being a 'fat girl' myself i know that people have been emotionally attached to me but the weight has always hindered it from progressing...whether it was completely on their side due to not being attracted or whatever or partially due to my diminished self confidence in that area due to past experiences.

I guess to answer your question though...if the weight didnt bother someone...or if they were one of the ones who supposedly prefer it...then sure quite possible...the only part then left to make it difficult is if the girl can actually believe and accept the fact that this guy does genuinely love her...if you can get past that then of course its possible. it really all depends on what angle youre coming from though...if that makes any sense

Dearest jennie
Thats a cute question and i have to admit it is kind of deep but i can explain the best i can. Meeting a person or girl is special and wieght really has nothing to do with attraction. mentally if you find a person hot you dont and will not look at her body and say WOW shes fat i can't go out with her. If you love a person you love them for them not for there bodies.

I think personality goes a long way. Many people have trouble liking overweight women because they're not physically attracted to them. I think that given the chance though, they can be loved equally as can anyone else because their personality is probably amazing. Confidence is the key though. No one wants someone who is too insecure about themselves.

NO ! It's not harder. You just have to look inside that person's heart and see who they really are, and what they have to offer you. And don't worry about what other people might think or say. They aren't the ones involved in that relationship - you are. God bless you for asking. I love a 'fat' girl, and she is the easiest person in the world to love!

well, once you fall for someone..and i mean really fall in love with them, certain things dont matter..you forget their size...now of course a lot of men dont go for bigger women just because they are shallow or they are turned off by it, but i dont think its hard for them as long as they are accepting of that person.

if that person does not like you for who you are and what your abt, then you need to leave that person alone. there are ppl out there that like girls with meat on there bones....trust me, i should know. my boyfriend loves this thick a**
