I shaved around my vaginal area and it went smoothly, but 5 minutes later, it began to feel itchy, especially above my vagina. What do you think it is?

Its common extremely. But there are also lotions and sprays that help with that. Im positive if you go to your store and look through the shaving aisle there will be some sort of razor burn spray for bikni area. Im at school so i dont have my bottle with me, but i have a blue metal bottle that says right on it for bikini use. I love it, when you spray the vapors are kinda heavy so have a window open, but i also love the smell of it!

It will be itchy the first few times. After shaving regularly, the skin will not be as sensitive and you won't have this feeling anymore.

As a guy, when I've grown a beard, and then shaved it off, I get the same feeling on my face the first few times. Of course, shaving daily, I don't feel this any more.

Like most things, do it regularly and your body will get used to it. Besides you liking it, most guys love a woman to shave down there. It is GREAT! It looks good, and is sexy. Keep it up.

Shaving is the worst for the "below area"....waxing, while a bit more painful is generally better for that area, since it won't get as itchy, plus you will have a professional taking care of the skin.....NEVER wax it yourself, if you are going for the full monty.

It is very common, it just probably got irritated because it is not used to the shaving. Once you start shavig it on a regular basis it will become used to the feeling and will no longer itch. You can try non-scented lotion to stop the itch!

its common, nothing to worry about. it is always better to use some lubrication cream stuffs when shaving sensitive areas and make sure that you shave in the same direction of the hair else the skin could get damaged.

Yes many people shave their pubic area. I believe guys prefer it shaved. It depends on personal preference though.

ok, when I first started shaving downstairs, it was itchy and uncomfortable, but I kept it up, and eventually my skin adjusted. I've been shaving every morning for the past 3 years, and i wouldnt have it any other way. =)

Itchyness is normal. If you shave long enough it'll eventually go away. I've been shaving for years and don't notice it anymore.

try coochie cream, yeah it's real, my friend sells adult toys and they sell this, it's like a shaving cream for down there.

oh yeah its like shaving your legs when your dry, and don't use lotion it gets irritated because it's used to the oils in the hair, and you just shaved and scraped off all the oils with the razer,

it's due to the skin getting sensitive after shaving. Thats why man uses aftershave, cologne, etc. Let me scratch it for you.
