As long as you want. There is no limit to how long a relationship should last.

There isn't a limit to how long you should be in the relationship, but there is a point where you should consider where the relationship is going. In the end, there are only two results to relationships -- either you get married or you break up. You cannot get married long distance. You eventually have to deal with being face to face. You don't have to do it now, but you should atleast talk about it. Eventually, one day, one of you will have to move. That's just the truth of it.

I met my now fiance through eharmony and we were long distance for a while. We are not happily together in the same town and I am loving every minute of it. I don't regret moving for a moment. This is where God wants me to be right now. This is where the call on my life is.

Long distance relationships are really hard to do. I have seen some most of them go bad. Keep it short. But do give it a shot. How far are you two?? It really all depends on the distance.
