Regardless of denomination or religion, the best way to God is to love. Love others, love yourself. Do all things out of love. Give love, share love, spread love. It's just love. You can't go wrong.

There are differing beliefs in more than a few Christian religions is true. In most cases the differences are in minor areas. Things like should wine or grape juice be used in communion? Should baptism be for infants or adults? Is just the sprinkling of water on the head enough or should there be total submerging? Must a person tithe (give 10% ) to be saved or not? There are a lot of questions and differences like the above. In some cases, the answer or beliefs on matters simular to these will not be what saves or damns a perso. I feel that going to the sorce i/e the Bible for direction on these matters is the best place to start. Whatever Church teaches what is written in the Bible should be the religion that is the more correct. How and why is a person saved? Find out what the Bible teaches as the answer to this question. One place this question is answered can be found in Ephesans 2:3-17. . I think going to a Curch that teachs this same thing is better than those that teach otherwise.

Well, Jesus, Himself, said that "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO man comes to the Father but through me."
He said "I am the bread of life" and again, "I am the water of life", and "I am the resurrection and the life. If any man believe in me, though he die, yet shall he live again."
Jesus said "You believe in God, believe also in me" and "When you've seen me, you've seen the Father" and "I and the Father are one."
He said so much more, besides, but this should be enough to get the point across that He believed that you can't come to God except through him, because he claimed to be that very God.
Now, either Jesus WAS telling the truth, and ALL the other religions are wrong, or he was wrong. In the words of C.S. Lewis in his book, "Mere Christianity", Lewis points out that if he is NOT who he claimed to be, "then he is a lunatic on the same level as someone who thinks he's a poached egg.", which eliminates him as a religious leader.
So, it's Jesus or not, no Jesus PLUS this, or that AND Jesus.
However, when you follow his life (read the life and times of Jesus Christ as found in the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), then you realize he was quite sane, which leads to only one possible conclusion - that he IS God incarnate in flesh, and what he says goes.
Does that help clarify things a bit?

You'll learn more about God from an afternoon walk in a forest than you will from a lifetime studying a book.
For the person who gave me a thumbs down on this, let me elaborate by using Scripture.
"A tree is known by the fruit it bears."
That was said as an analogy for knowing the nature of human beings.
It is applicable to knowing God as well.
If you want to know the nature of God, look at what He made, don't rely on what other people wrote about Him.
And how could you test my theory? Well, an apple tree is an apple tree, no matter whether the person looking at it is a Christian or a Jew or a Muslim or an Athiest or a Buddhist. They all have different books to tell you the nature of God, though, and sometimes their own books contradict themselves. It's hard to "know" much from a book.
Nature tells us a lot about the One who Created it, if we have the wisdom to notice.

There exists a true standard by which the true religion will meet and by which all false religions will fail to meet.
If you know that standard you will know the truth.
The standard is made up of correct and virtuous principles. None contradict, but all blend into a single standard so that a person of discernment may perceive what is the real way of life and what is not.
Ask as many questions as possible, analyze and search everything that is being told to you. Examine it to see if it is true.
Philippians 4:8, 9 - "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well spoken of, whatever virtue there is and whatever praiseworthy thing there is, continue considering these things. The things that YOU learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these; and the God of peace will be with you.
1 Corinthians 2:14, 15 - "But a physical man does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot get to know [them], because they are examined spiritually. However, the spiritual man examines indeed all things, but he himself is not examined by any man.
John 13:34, 35 - "I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves."
Acts 17:11 - "Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·ni′ca, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so."
Just a few criteria for you...
Journey Well...

I hear tell, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions...so the other way must be the right direction. Go on the path that is right for you. It will be straight and narrow and hard to travel at times. Sometimes you will feel as though you are alone but he is really right there. Sometimes you won't feel like walking and want to just sit and cry...that's ok too. Just move the stumbling blocks out of the way and continue forward. Sometimes you will meet people who will try and tell you that their way is better. Keep on your own road, it will lead you right where you need to go. Without the proof you should believe in no-one who is trying to change the way you feel about the path you have chosen.

There is one true God, my friend, and one true path to Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us that "God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believes in Him shall never die but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Once you make that leap of faith and decide to accept Jesus as your Saviour, the Holy Spirit of God comes to live within you, and it is He that confirms your beliefs and gives you conviction concerning your faith. It is a bit like being told to jump off a cliff, and only after are you told there is a soft place to land, and that you did the right thing.
Yes, there may be many other religions--Muslim, Jewish, Buddist--but only Christianity offers true salvation, and the peace of the quiet knowing in your heart that comes from having chosen the one, true faith.

Well, many religions believe in different gods and i spell that without a capital letter because there is only one True God. First of all, the Bible has NEVER been proven wrong, so I believe in it with my whole heart. Religion comes with a huge amount of faith. You have to have faith that you are believing the right thing. I personally am a non-denominational Christian. I follow exactly what the Bible says and nothing added like other religions.

All religions are true because the way to reach God, in the end, is the same for everyone--love.
It's like traveling to New York City. There are any number of possible routes to take, but they all lead to New York City, if that is your goal. So choose whichever one you like the best.

I'm a born again believer and I know beyond any shadow of doubt that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the right path. He's done so much for me in my life such as raise me from the dead, healed my body numerous times namely from a brain aneursym, three strokes, seizures and he restored my speech and ability to walk again. I've lost plenty of memories but I've learn to count it all joy and the things or people that I don't remember I realize that it's probably for my own good that I don't remember. Ask God himself with a honest heart and he will show you himself that Jesus is the way the truth and the life rather this is my prayer for you in Jesus Name and this I do declare and decree it because his word says if I delight myself in his word that I could declare and decree a thing and he would establish it. Amen Now God bless you in Jesus Name with the knowledge of his will for you and your life.

It does not matter too much which religion you choose. There are many different religions because there are many different types of people.
What matters is your commitment to God, and to loving others. Does your religion help you connect with God? Does it help you to become a more peaceful, compassionate person? If so, then it is of great worth to not only you but the community you live in.
I have attended services at many different types of churches, and have felt God's presence at all of them. I have chosen a denomination (Lutheran) that helps me on my path the most. Is it the best? For my family it is but certainly not for everyone. And that is perfectly fine.
I don't think God cares what path we choose, as long we commit to loving Him with all our hearts, and our neighbor as our self. Peace be with you.
"Religion is one tree with many branches. As branches, you may say, religions are many, but as a tree, religion is only one." Gandhi
