First they both were members of India's political party named Congress and they were struggling together for the freedom of India from British Rule. Later in thirties they had differences and Mohammad Ali Jinnah joined Muslim League. Then all Muslims under Muslis League struggled to have a separate country for Muslims of India. Then Britain gave part of land where Muslim population was higher than Hindus to Muslims to form Pakistan. Pakistan came into extence on August 14, 1`947.

Ghandi belonged to whole of india ,i,e everyone Hindu's , Muslime's , christian's and sikhs......

but ALi jinnha only belonged to Muslime's... he wanted a seperate state for them.......

Ghandi's idea was of secular and and universal botherhood

Jinnha's idea was Muslime's brotherhood......
