The film Constantine 's Sword which explores the dark side of Christianity has mention of a Mega Church near Colorado Springs Air Base which promotes such views. I think though that a debate if desired between Evolution , and the book Origin of the Species written by Darwin could be the preferred approach. Also separation of church and state could be invoked in the army as well as elsewhere. Constiution stipulates that. The defence of Atheism against extreme religious views has been the best devised. The film Flock Of Dodos actually might be a good training film if it were understood it was no reflection on the army. The film explores the argument over evolution from The Scopes Monkey Trial to the new Intelligent Design theory used in Kansas.

Over 6,000 on active duty in the Army alone. A few thousand more in the other services. The Marine Corporal who raised the U.S. flag above Bagram Air Base in late 2001 is an Afghan-American and a Muslim. There are a little over half a dozen Imams in the Chaplain Corps of the various services.
You see, it isn't Muslim fighting Muslim. It's Muslim fighting against the Hirabah. Those who are the Ku Klux Klan of the Islamic Ummah. Those who subscribe to the heresy of "Takfir" which says it's O.K., in the carrying out of Jihad, for Muslim to deliberately kill Muslim. There is the sin.
Not all Iraqis are Muslims. There are a fair number of Christians in the country, including one group of Chaldean Catholics whose roots go back to the time of Saint Thaddeus and Syriac Catholics who still celebrate the Mass in Aramaic, the language spoken by Jesus.
Those Hirabah who follow the likes of Bin Laden don't carry out or respect the Five Pillars of Islam. They are only interested in establishing a theological dictatorship based on a false understanding of the Koran. Just like the Klan's misreading of the Bible.

I am sure there are Muslim soldiers, but you misunderstand the point. Unfortunately it doesn't matter if the soldier thinks Bush is lying, because he swore an oath to enforce the military bounds of the United States. This includes supporting the orders of the Commander in Chief. A religious belief will not, obviously, stand in the way of the militry. AND REMEMBER-we are not at war against all muslims, we are at war against the Muslim Extremist terrorist groups.

Yes, there is. When I was deployed, I met a friend - a soldier who was Muslim. He was originally from Afghanistan ironically enough, he knew the language and everything, but moved to the U.S. when he was younger and evenutally joined the U.S. Army when he was of age.
As he put it, he is not going over there to fight Muslims, Muslims are good people - but the extremists, Taliban, al Qaeda, (though Muslim) are not good people. They kill their own people as well. Just like there are "Christians" who do really wrong things, there are Muslims who do wrong things.

Of course, there are some, but most soldiers and sailors are christians. The service people are not there to kill over religious ideologies, they really want to help. I have to believe that most think, these people are suffering from restriction of free will. Why don't muslims accept other faiths?

More than likely there are Muslims in the army.
According to our President, We aren't fighting "Muslims" we're fighting "terrorists"
According to many Muslims, in no way does Islam condone and promote violence, therefore terrorists would not be viewed as "true" muslims.
your average Muslim might not choose to join the army, but if he/she believes in the cause he/she might do just that.

Yes there are Muslims that are in the US Army. Its a wonderful thing for them, in my opinion, to stand up for their faith and FIGHT along side of the rest of us. Regardless of faith or nationality you have to admit that Islamic Radicals are a serious problem through out the world today and that they have to be dealt with accordingly.
