The best description I have ever seen is that heaven is better than anyone can imagine.

The real heaven is where we will be glorified and then see Him in His glory. God is a Spirit--He has no body parts. As an incorporeal being, God will show His glory to us as bright light. We will have an instantaneous awareness and knowledge of the fullness of God. In God's heaven, we will have imperishable bodies (1 Cor. 15:42), we will know each other (Matt. 8:11), we will eat and drink (Luke 22:18), and we will reign and serve Christ, fellowship with one another, travel extensively in and out of the New Jerusalem and finally we can rest eternally from our tiresome labors and exhausting trials. No more struggling with sin and resisting Satan (Rev. 14:13). We know because the Bible tells us so.

Your soul (or self, if that is a better term) will be filled with the spirit of God and you will feel complete. Your mind will no longer think in lies. Your emotions will be tremendous. You will live in love and harmony with everyone. You will learn about the universe and many other things. You will have perfect knowledge and thought. You will learn control over the universe, and do a many great many things not possible during this age. Jesus said, I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. I can hardly wait. :)

Heaven is a literal place where god his son and angels live It is much better that here on earth due to Satan being banished from heaven to earth never to return. Heaven is indeed perfect and the earth will once again be perfect and be a Paradise. I know it is better because the ruler of earth is Satan and the New King of heaven is Jesus Christ the perfect ruler of all the heavens and has already taken his thrown to soon rule over the earth

Too Many Variables.
There's some Christians who even think that no one has made it to heaven yet, that they are in some kind of holding formation until Jesus comes back to get their carcasses and take them there.
Only the dead know and they only talk to those camera hogs on the SciFi Channel.

I asked this question to my local priest several years ago.
He said
"Imagine a beautiful park where all of your lost love ones are there everyday forever and ever bathing in the glory of god and praising him together"
I then asked about my non christian friends to which he stated flatly they would not be there and it was partly my job to stear them towards the church.
It was about this time I decided what a misserable existance that would be and set out to create my own heaven on Earth.

It is like HELL.
My faith has been there, it is a territory governed by a hypocrite dictator who would kill, condemn and punish in the name of LOVE. The leader likes sacrifices and offerings, etc..
P.S. He is a conceited leader that would reward flattery just like King Lear in Shakespearean literature.
