ok why do guys ask me out via text? its sooo annoying! i dont even get why they like me im so mean to them. anyways. i turn them down so why do they keep asking me out? please help me understand....

Some guys like bad girls. Listen to The Offspring's Want You Bad. Listen to Self Esteem by the same artist. Guys will be with girls that treat them bad and I don't understand it any more than I understand the reverse. Plus, some guys just do not know when to give up, in the case of guys that keep trying. There's really no understanding it. It just is. As for the texting thing...I wonder how they have your number but yeah it's probably an easier way for them than the potentially scary way of asking face to face and saying something stupid.

I'm going to guess that you are probably pretty young? If someone is asking you out (or breaking up with you for that matter) over a text message then that is really immature. If that person doesn't have the guts to have a mature conversation with you in person then don't even bother!

Text messaging could be easier for a shy guy who doesn't want a face to face refusal. On the other hand, this could be a jerk or bunch of jerks just trying to annoy you and see who wins. There must be away to block the messages. I never use it so I don't know if this can be done.

Because its easier to ask via text than face to face. You don't get to see the real reaction, and if you turn them down they can always say you took it the wrong way because you can't read emotion via text.

They must really like you...anyway, I've liked girls before that were mean. Then again, they weren't really mean, that's just their personality.
They ask you via text because they are probably too nervous or scared to ask you. They might also do it because you said you are mean, so they probably are afraid that if you reject them, you'll be very mean.
That is my thought.

the same thing is happening to me at school when we were on a field trip he took a picture of me and some other girls while we were unaware he said he is going to put it on his myspace he freaks me out but abou 1/4 of the time hes ok just ignore them the guy im talking about is also insensitive and overagressive

men are throwed off that way, it seems to attract them more when you don't pay them any attention esp. when your mean, Of course they love the ones who give in but once they do that's it but they'll chase you and do whatever it takes to get you b/c u r strong and independent. It's like a challenget to them and they love it. and for the texter they may take rejections easier thru. msg. rather than face 2 face.

Sometimes people are afraid of face to face confrontation? Maybe you intimidate them on some level? Nobody likes rejection. Rejection is easy when it is not face to face.
