every time i go to wall mart i see lots of ps3 but no wii or 360

Sony makes no profit on the PS3 console. They actually loose money on it and make money on the games they sell for it (like the xbox). Therefore, the price is extremely reasonable for th technology it offers.
The Wii is the only "next gen" console that makes money on each console sold, so in reality that is the console that is over-priced.

Just because you go to one particular store and see that one particular console is always in stock, it doesn't mean that the console isn't selling somewhere else at another store.
I think that the PS3 has done very good in sales. The PS3 has sold around 7 million consoles and that is very good considering the fact that the PS3 costs more than the Xbox 360 and the PS3 has sold about half of what the 360 has sold in just one year.
Also the Xbox 360's popularity is mostly just limited to the U.S. The PS3 has sold more than double of what the 360 has sold in Japan, and Japan is a very important market for gaming, but the PS3 and Wii are always going to dominate in Japan anyways because Sony and Nintendo are Japanese companies.
In a few years I'm pretty certain that the PS3 is going to surpass the Xbox 360 in terms of sales, it's only just a matter of time. The PS1 and PS2 both sold over 100 million consoles and I think that the PS3 will sell 100 million consoles as well.

Considering the just announced selling 466,000 PS3s in November, Outselling 360 in England, France, and Japan I would say that PS3 is doing just fine.
PS3 will have outsold 360 by the end of 2008. People in the U.S. that Xbox is only popular in the United States while Playstation and Nintendo are global juggernauts.
The Wii is in a different league. Its cheaper, more casual, and isn't a "Next Gen" system. You would have to compare it to PS2 and PS2 has sold about 130 million consoles which puts the Wii about 110 million consoles behind.

What is the lowest price you can find for PS3? I want to buy one at christmas. Recently I find that a deal for Sony PlayStation 3 80GB MotorStorm Pack is $500. Is it a nice price??
