I went to Target and bought a Playstation 3 for my son for Christmas, but when I opened it up to check it out, there was just a bunch of rocks in the box. What am i supposed to do? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Has there been a history of situations like this? What are my chances of being reimbursed?
Thank you for your help.

Bring it back and ask for a refund or replacement, most big stores have quite liberal return policies, so you should be able to get your money back, or get another PS3. Also.. wtf? rocks? How do you even know it has rocks in it? If you opened it up, then you voided the warranty, wont get a return and are not fooling anyone..this is quite the situation you have here.

I think I've heard of something like this happening. Try going back to target, and if they don't get you anything, write a letter to Sony. Keep the receipt, of course.

Forgive me if this sounds too simple, but if you bought it from a large retailer like Target, you should call their telephone customer support. ... Good luck trying to get anyone to believe you though ...
