Well I am glad she has been to Bible camp and hope she continues to study her Bible.

if there is anything above God?
God would not be God if any thing was greater than Him.
John 1

and why he created Earth?
Well if you remember, soon after the creation of the universe, there were actually two falls. The first fall was the fall of Lucifer who became Satan and the serpent. The second fall was the fall of man due partially to the influence of the serpent on Woman. Woman was only called Eve, the mother of the living, after Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Back to the question, why create anything at all if you are God, all sufficient, all powerful, and you could technically exist alone without our known universe forever?

I think the answer is in the nature of God. God is love and in Him there is no darkness at all. Love, I think is the motivation for creation. Before the existence of finished earth, angels were the first conscious beings. Yet, before the completion of earth, 1/3 of all the angels freely chose to leave the love of God and God Himself.

Stranding 1/3 of the angels to earth with limited freedom to visit their lost place in heaven, a battle started. Angels not being of flesh have only to sin once to lose salvation. God created man of flesh with a soul to contain His Spirit. Unlike angels who are born perfect, man since the fall, is born imperfect and in need of Jesus.

Now the battle goes on between God, His angels, and the 1/3 lost angels over the fate of the souls of all mankind. Our Earth and solar system were created as the place where this battle continues until this day. In love, God allows us to choose. Being created a little lower than the angels in flesh, we have the advantage of repentence until we die. What we do on this present Earth will help determine who and when, maybe, Jesus will return to set up the new heaven and the new earth.

There is nothing above God. He is the Highest, the Infinite (Kids are usually amazed at the cocept of infinity, so she`ll like this explanation).
He created everything for man, man is at the top of all the food chains, He created everything to see which of His Creations recognise Him by seeing His signs (other creations), and which of His Creation then worship Him with full humility. Its a test. Winners are the doers of good who do good for God. There are signs in the solar system, the making of day and night, and the organisation of time.... all these are signs for us to learn several lessons from..... including how inconspicuous we are with respect to all that He Created.

If you are not satisfied with the answers, then find from within yourself, go for meditation.
There is only one God, people interpret God in different names and forms. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe and is beyond life and death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future, and remember ignorance gives failures. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Improve by Gaining and Sharing utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Best, Right, Good, Truth, God against Worst, Wrong, Bad, Untruth, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

The Bible declares that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the Almighty.

He created the earth for man to tend and inhabit. He created man for free will fellowship.

If God created the universe, who created God?

Read a good story called the Profession of Johnathon Hoag . He was supposed to be a art critic and didn't know it . Funny part of the story was it was god's version of earth that he was judging and since it was so defective it had to be destroyed and made over ! Sounded more reasonable to me than the meanderings of the religious nuts !
