Fruits...have seeds, and are therefore the female part of the plant. Vegetables do not have seeds, so they are considered male. Even foods we consider veggies are actually fruits because they have seeds, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, all squash, avocado, even olives. All of them are fruits. Sweetness doesnt really determine whether it is a fruit or veggie. Leafy plants, such as lettuces, chicories, cabbages are also considered vegetables. Roots and tubers such as carrot, potato, rutabega, parsnip etc...all veggies. Hope this helps

Fruits contains seeds, a vegetable does not. A fruit is the plant's intended means of reproduction, meant to be eaten by animals so that the seeds contained therin can be planted in a location further away from the original plant, the animal's droppings. A vegetable is another plant (Root, Stem, Flower, etc), harvested for food.
