the cats don't feel anything during surgery and are fine within a week. They are on pain medications but usually don't need any after the first day. If you want kittens adopt more and get your cat spayed.

As the others have pointed out: it's not torture! Your cat will not feel a thing and will be MUCH healthier for it. Spaying reduces the risk of cancer, rids her of the hormones that will make her yowl during the night and will rid her of the physical stress of bearing kittens. The biggest thing I would like to address is WHY do you want her to have kittens when there are literally thousands of kittens in American who have to DIE every day because no one wants them? As a former Euthanasia Technician I think it's cruel to allow your cat to breed. Even if you found homes for your cats kittens you would be STEALING homes from the animal shelter pets. Think it over, talk to a vet and get your pet spayed! You won't regret it!

No one ever said surgery was pleasant. I just had my kitten, Willow spayed. She came home groggy and slept for most of the night. We gave her her pain meds and within a few days she was back to her normal spunky self.
Do you know what happens when you don't spay your female cat? She goes into heat, is very uncomfortable, and will have a period just like any female mammal. Yes, she will bleed all over the place and cry loudly. She may also try to escape the house in order to satisfy her needs. An outdoor cat is never safe in our world.
She will be under anesthesia during surgery and won't feel a thing. It really is the more responsible choice.

What DO you want? You sound like you want her to get spayed and then you don't because you want her to have kittens. Make up your mind! The cat is completely anesthetised when this procedure is performed. I have had two cats and the first one I got as a kitten. She got spayed and the one I have now, one I got from a shelter, was already spayed when I got her.

why does it look like torture? It is a surgical procedure, the animal is under anesthesia. It makes the pet healthier. The more times your cat goes into heat the risk of her getting mammary cancer increases. What is the reason you want your cat to have kittens? You need to decide if you want the expense of taking care of your cat and her kittens before, during and after pregnancy and then you will have to find homes for all the kittens. Also you need to know what you will do if she will need to have a C-section etc.

Why do you want her to have kittens?
It's not torture, it's surgery. I bet if you watched any surgery, you'd think it looked awful. But some surgery is important and necessary, and spaying a cat is very important and very necessary. She will be put under for the surgery, and she may be feeling a little sick and groggy for a couple of days afterwards, but she'll be better off for it.

You sound very confusing! Your question does not make sense! It sounds like you want your kitten to be spayed but you are afraid it will hurt her, but then you say you want her to have kittens? Make up your mind dear, you can't hve it both ways. And it is not torture, it is probally the best thing you can do for your animal and the younger it is done, the better they will bounce back!

There are many cats waiting to be adopted. Please spay your cat and don't breed her. She won't have 2 kittens she'll have 6 and then where will you be. She will be totally fine with the spaying, just take her to a good vet.

Why would it look like torture?? The cat is completely anesthetized, receives pain medication, and the surgery is professionally done by a licensed veterinarian.
