Update: I made some chicken sashimi last night and it was awesome! My girlfriend and I went through a whole bird over some nice sake.

I remember watching the original Iron Chef.
In battle chicken, one of the Japanese chefs served chicken sashimi. If you feel your chicken is good enough to be eaten raw, then go for it!

Actually, chicken sashimi is eaten in Japan....

HOWEVER, since we cannot be sure how our chicken meat has been fed, raised, killed, or stored in the shipping process it's not a good idea at all to make chicken sashimi.

I'd actually love to taste some as I love all sashimi...hamachi, uni, and saba being my favs!

Just be careful...eat all the raw sushi grade fish you want just play it safe with the chicken.

Chicken is not good to be eaten rare. It has a bacterial infestation called salmonella which will make you really really sick. SO DON'T DO THAT!

I wouldn't eat raw chicken or fish. I know people do it but personally I wouldn't take the chance.
