Go to your vet or a good pet store and purchase a product called FRONTLINE flea and tick and put it on your dog, you will also have to treat the inside of your home, and don't waist your money on that cheap crap either, or you will never get rid of the fleas, fleas go through a number of life cycles, and you need a product that will kill them when they hatch and before they lay eggs and die !

The package should tell you exactly how much to put on. I would NOT recommend the generic-brand flea control you can buy at the grocery store or other places, though - I have known animals to go into seizures from it. If it's a brand like Frontline, Advantage/Advantix, etc. it is alright, but the cheap stuff is not worth saving the money at the risk of your dog's health.

I worked in animal rescue for several years and one of the best cheap, all-natural ways we found to kill fleas is to juice a couple of oranges (any citrus works, but oranges are big and yield a lot of juice, plus they smell great) and mix them in a spray bottle, 1 part juice to 2 parts water. Soak the dog's fur with it, let them sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse and shampoo like a normal bath. You will see all the little buggies floating in the water afterwards - do it again in about a week to catch any eggs that might have survived the initial washing.

Skin-so-Soft or baby oil works the same way - it clogs the gills of the fleas so they suffocate.

Well, what stuff is it exactly? Whatever it is, it will have instructions for you. Spot-ons like this I supposed to go on the skin on the back of the neck.

If it's from a store, don't use it. Store-bought flea treatments don't work. If it's from a vets it will be Frontline, Advantage, Advocate or Revolution and there will be instructions with it.

Well I don't know what brand you got ..and most should say according to the weight of your dog..if its frontline plus..it comes in different packs for different weights and your will be for dogs up to 22lbs i would recommend getting this at your vet..pets stores at least i dont know if they sell that but that brand works reallly good..also if you go to your vet they can give your do cap star which is a pill to get rid of flea for the day but not long lasting

Read the package, it will tell you how much and exactly where to apply it.
