usually they charge anywhere from $65-$125 per square foot depending on the contractor and the quality of supplies/upgrades
Those prices are builders grade.
I was the General Contractor for my own addition and the permits alone are $700 - 900
I saved us over $80,000 by subcontracting and getting good prices. Everything I did was also Top Notch. Best doors, windows, floors, etc...

The most important part is SAFETY -make sure the person framing is reliable and very reputable.

you are probably looking at at least 10-15k, maybe more. depends on a lot of things. are you building this room UP, like on an upper non existing level, are you building OUT, onto an existing structure where demo work, like knocking out a wall is going to be done. You'll have to probably get and pay for permits, lay a foundation, build and insulate walls, run electric, roofing, siding, etc. Contractors are expensive these days due to costs of supplies going up.

You may be able to get a free estimate from someone coming out, wouldn't hurt. If you've got equity in your house, you could take out a home equity loan and complete your project.

You don't give enough information to answer this question. What will it have for a foundation? Metal or shingle roof? How many and what type of windows? More details are needed. Most builders will give a free consultation. Call two or three.

lic builder in michigan.
depending on the building site, for an addition that requires little to no grade work other than footings and foundation, and nothing fancy like window walls and vaulted ceilings, 285 sq ft of addition would cost roughly 24,225. for the region as high as 31,350.

shop around , ok
this is abig project , i would say about $130 a sq foot
plus lumber etc.
if you want to spend say $ 10,000
tell your builder this is all i have , do u want the job ?
most remodelers will jump at the this one .
but as i said shop around, ask at your local ,lumber yard ,for a remodler......
