I broke up with my ex of 3 years in September out of anger b/c he didn't attend social events with me and when I tried to get him back, he wouldn't come back. He told me he was unhappy in the relationship and he was stressed. Honestly, I think he wanted to go awhile ago but wasn't sure, and this was the opportunity for him to escape. We are both 25 and now I really regret what I did, and I am suffering through the consequences. I know I need to move on but I can honestly say he was my true love, he made me really happy, and I feel like I can't find another person who would make me as happy as he did. He has already moved on, probably dating other girls already. I went on a few dates, but none of them can compare. I was wondering if anyone's ex ever decided to get back with them years later under similar circumstances? I know the odds are against me, but when you truly feel that person is the one, it makes me wonder.

You're only shot at getting your ex back is to follow the right steps that will make her ask you to get back together. Learn here https://tr.im/NC1Na
Maybe if you broke up with her, then you might be able to be the one who brings up the subject of getting back together. But if you can do it without, it would be much better. But how do you get someone back without seeming desperate? In order to get your ex girlfriend attention, you have to show value without telegraphing your interest in her, while at the same time initiating interaction. So don't ignore your ex texts and calls when they break up with you. It screams that you are so devastated by the breakup that you can't even handle talking to her. You want to respond to her, but do it in the right way. You can even initiate communication if you do it in the right way. You have to maintain a strong frame of confidence, and show your ex girlfriend that your happiness isn't dependent on being with her

There is no reason a relationship can't grow again after a break up...no matter how long it has been.

Just make sure you know that this is what you want. Do you want him because of who he is...or are you just having a tough time meeting someone new.

Only you can decide what is right for you.

No mine never came back but she did call me because her therapist told her to call and ask me how I let go because like you she had regrets about her decision and thinking her life would be better without me after we were together 29 years....
