Irish people or Polish people?

I would say that it depends on if you are talking of people of Irish and Polish descent, or if you are talking about immigrants. I would say from a straight immigration standpoint that there are far more Poles than there are Irish.
Yet, there is quite as large population of people that have descended from the Irish, although I am not sure that most of the are true, 100% Irish. My vote goes for the Poles.

Definitely Polish people. My boyfriend is Polish and we talk about this all the time. Chicago has the largest population of Polish people than any other city in the US and almost the same amount as the capitol of Poland, Warsaw.

That;s a good question. I know for sure there are more south side Irish and more north side Poles. But as to the bigger population I;m not sure. I live near a Polish community though - the deli meat is fantastic.

Irish..... but the Polish population in Chicago is greater that in WARSAW Poland!

Hard to find but here is a wiki article on Chicago demographics with some insight...I would say Irish but Chicago has the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw, so who knows.

hmmm good question. Im going to have to say Polish but it can easily be the other way around... Polish people seem to have more pride at least visually, but im sure alot of people are irish and just dont really make it seen .. know wat i mean?! =)...

Im not sure statistically, but I would guess more Polish people. Only because they represent themselves more I think. They have the flags on the cars and all that. I would guess Polish.

By my unofficial testing it is equal. I am Polish and my wife is Irish ;)
