I want to try to win a contest to get a full scholorship to the school I want to go to. I am trying to major in Culinary Arts and they have a recipe contest for the best recipe, yet I can't think of a thing to make.... I have some recipes, but they are ones my culinary teacher made and I changed like one thing to make it taste better that doesnt count doe it? Help me?

Sorry, I too have to agree with the others. A contest should be an original recipe. If they ask you a question like "What was your inspiration for this recipe?", it might seem strange to have to answer that you got it on YAHOO! Answers. Besides that if it is a recipe that you are submitting, they surely have researchers that can look up the recipe to make sure it is an original.

Make it simple. Watch the FOODTV network for some ideas, haul out the cookbooks, or, as was previously suggested, amp up that old family favorite.

GOOD LUCK

I have to agree with Lippie, here. Not to mention, if you are planning to go to Culinary Arts school and can't think of anything to make...um....maybe this is not the right profession for you. Go with something that your mother made, then improve on it. Simple and fresh is honestly the best policy. Sorry. But you need to do this on your own.

Sorry you need to do this on your own. Don't make it hard, just tasty. Some of the best food I've had is so simple but looked and tasted great. Pick something that your mother made and just improve on it.
