I read on a forum that the emulation on the 80g is a better picture then on the 60gs hardware. Apparently you have to see them side by side. Does that make any sense?

That's not true. NTSC 60GB has , let's call it a built-in PS2 (PS2's CPU - Emotion Engine and GPU - Graphics Synthesizer). 80GB has only GPU. 60GB supports more PS2 games with less glitches.

No, that's not true, all PS3's display games in the same quality.

Also, the 60GB can run all PS2 games via the emotion engine, while the 80GB PS3 can only play most PS2 games through software emulation.
