I read on a forum that the emulation on the 80g is a better picture then on the 60gs hardware. Apparently you have to see them side by side. Does that make any sense?

That's not true. NTSC 60GB has , let's call it a built-in PS2 (PS2's CPU - Emotion Engine and GPU - Graphics Synthesizer). 80GB has only GPU. 60GB supports more PS2 games with less glitches.

That really doesn't make any sense. The 60GB and 80GB PS3's will display the PS1 and PS2 games the same. All of the PS3's can upscale DVD's and they all can smooth out the textures in PS1 and PS2 games, so the graphics will be the same.
