You need to contact your social services office to get the application. That should tell you exactly everything you need in order to qualify (pay stubbs, bills,ect..). They should set you up with a case manager and an appointment right away. They also consider certain circumstances emergencies.
Also, ask about help for with HEAP...heat or fuel money. They call housing assistance HUD and it's pretty easy to get if you really need it and being a single mother of 3, you definetly should. I had HUD for me and my son and it helped sooo much. Remember everything is done income based.
Ignore that person before me, they don't understand the hardship of being on your own with children.

I'm a single mom with one kid living with me, other lives with his pedo father, and I can't even find housing, and the child I have with me is disabled. Doesn't matter. Section 8 is closed here, public housing is closed in a lot of places, but they will give housing to the elderly. Don't get me wrong, the elderly need it, too. However, those with similar disabilities that are NOT elderly get left in the cold! It's infuriating! Especially considering the circumstances and reason the programs are all closed to us...I won't get into details. Most of you probably understand. BTW: I do work...promised 33 hours, given 15! In process of finding another job, but I also know how that works...especially in my preferred profession.

Go to D.S.S. and tell them your situation.In the mean time, move in with your parents, get a job and make the kid's dad or dads pay child support and get a job and off welfare.And quit making babies you cannot take care of.If all else fails give them up for adoption.

Why would you have kids you can't afford to support on your own?
