Most of you are talking bollox!
If you'd go back to pre- roman times (true Brits) we'd all be speaking Welsh or something like Irish.
Think about it!
Do you even understand my question?
I'm talking about before the Brutish Empire.

Barry what'syername.
Watch they don't start broadcasting BBC Radio 4 (you can get it on-line though),on your radio, you might overdose on culture,(heaven help you might be torn away from from your freedom fries and drink at the fount of a bubbling stream of fresh ideas)
So let's not drink a yankee beer that'll freeze your teeth off and have no appreciable alcoholic effect except the hangover! Yeah!
P.S. Did the Mormons invent American beer?
In Europe it gets you drunk first and then you get the hangover. When I was in US I went from drinking straight to hangover (after a sleep of course). There was something missing there .

Cig 1705 I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. What's your apology for an a bunch of inbreds (idiots) being heads of state.
In modern countries inbreds usually don't make it to the top of the pile, here we are stuck with no choice.
I did have to laugh at you saying you were Catholic though.
As a human and ex-Catholic I pee from a great height upon churches and monarchy.
The only thing the catholic church has going for it is
that the pope is elected, (granted, by few)
A blue blooded idiot can rule the roost though in the UK.
Wait 'til you get your King Harry!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope foreigners don't learn English from you. "Sudanese are the worse"........I bet I could find 10 Sudanese who could write better (maybe you'd write "best"?) English than you.

It's too late. Brown has signed the treaty. Meaning Brussels now controls policy on immigration, even though we are within our rights under international law to send them back to their last port of call which would be france. I really can't see that happening.
It's quite funny, but it was a typical stereoype of the English that we would rant on about foreigners "coming over here and taking all our jobs". They don't take all of them, just 4 in every 5 jobs.
Thats the **** well and truly kicked out of this great country. If any guardian readers or labour voters want to argue the toss or give people "thumbs down" fine. But don't kill debates by calling people racists. The truth should never be repressed by cries of racism, if you feel you have a case, argue the point. By throwing accusations of racism at people you really do sound like the idiot you probably are. Your cushy public sector job teaching lesbian immigrants how to milk the system is probably brilliant at the moment, but wait until recession hits and then later when the economy buckles (oh it's coming) under the weight of supporting millions of migrant welfare cases and your out on your ****. Then there may be a slight chance that you will look at the world with a slightly different, less narrow minded attitude. You may find then that "multiculturalism" doesn't work it's only another step forward in the nationwide social engineering project of a bunch of pc zealots.

So what you're saying is that unless someone's entire family has been in the U.K. since the dawn of time then he/she isn't worth being our Head of State?
HM the Queen's lineage can be traced back to Anglo-Saxon kings (with a whole host of different ethnic diversities embodied in the Crown from Armenian to Ukrainian, whilst HRH the Prince of Wales is descended from Llewllyn the Great). Yes, there is a substantial amount of German lineage (speaking as a Catholic, I suppose I'd have preferred the Act of Settlement of 1701 not to have been passed transferring that lineage to the Electress of Hanover) but why should that be a barrier to being monarch (or, computer forbid, president)? If Prince William were to marry a German girl, would it really matter that much? If a Prime Minister were to have been born in a foreign country and to have emigrated to the UK and become a naturalised subject, would it matter? I'd hope not.
Furthermore, the Queen, as Head of the Commonwealth, provides a focus for an organisation which would be much better than the EU in permitting immigration to the U.K. I'd much rather a Ghanaian, Nigerian, Belizean or etc., to whom we have historical ties, than someone whose only shared tie is being an EU subject.
Lastly, even if we did throw the Royal Family out, we wouldn't see the end of them. Her Maj' and co. have 15 other kingdoms to choose from. Australia? Canada? Tuvalu?
EDIT:
In response to your follow up, remember that the Royal Family costs us 60p per person. If that's not good value for someone who has done 55 years of service to her country, continues to represent us at home and abroad and does a sterling job of being the patron of charities, I don't know what is. Would you rather have another expensive election every few years, an additional politician on top of the legislature we have already? Or would you rather have an American-style presidential system in which the president wilfully exercises personal power?
John Adams, the early US president, once wrote (around 200 years ago, since which Parliament and the people have obtained even more powers) that the United Kingdom already was an effective republic since the King could hardly refuse what the legislature enacted. Indeed, the Queen has yet to spark a constitutional crisis by refusing to sign a bill into law. Furthermore, surely if the Royal Family were so bad the populace would (as with, say, France) revolt and overthrow the monarchy? Surely the 1999 referendum to make Australia a republic would have succeeded, all the more so given the huge amounts of media backing afforded the Aus. republican vote?

A rant like that deserves an answer. One would assume, you would like to see the Royal family abolished and a republic put in place. What about a dictatorship (BNP perhaps). What a load of Boll***s. I agree that the current government appointed by the voters ( Gordon Brown excluded) should stop the influx of immigrants. The be all and end all should be that if you were born here you stay here. This is a small, green and pleasant land but getting very crowded. Time for change? Ask the Queen.

"If you'd go back to pre- roman times (true Brits)". You are either just here to stir it up ( as most of us with more that two braincells are), and are therefore having a laugh. Or you are being serious, and are a pathetic, feeble, and spineless excuse for a humanoid.
We Brits are a mongrel race. We are a mixture of many of different cultures. I'm quarter Irish and 3/4 Dutch! Put down the Daily Mail and pick up a history book.

As an American your views fit perfectly with those of the redneck south, Conservative republicans who plan on using this very issue to mobilize their legions of morons to vote republican again. It's a shame I thought the UK forum would be more enlightened. I should have known there are idiots everywhere and Europe and the UK haven't dealt with the racial issue as much as the US

Help! My city is being overrun by Brits!
Help! The bars are serving warm beer, two greasyburger joints closed and reopened as fish and chips places, they are pressuring the High Schools to start soccer teams, and worst of all, the local TV station dropped American idol and is
broadcasting BBC cultural programs.
Send "em back to England!!!!!!!!!!

I know. The Sudanese are the worse.
They talk bollocks, then come over here and sit on their lazy asses.
Send them all back to their homes I say.
It's our country, not theirs.
They wouldn't like it if we were living off their money.
I do admire to the ones who do want to work, though. Like the Polish.
But alot of them don't. It's just terrible.
I am not rascist, just to let you all know that.
