Well there is no way he is going to beat the Aussies at their own game (talking down the opposition etc) so I think he should have left it alone.

It reminds me of what happened in the league test match between Aus and NZ, when someone from the NZ squad said the Aussie side is underdone and look what happened. Aus 58 nil.

All he's done is added some fuel to the Australian fire and that is the last thing you want to do, particularly because the Aussies are so damn good. They have enough motivation as it is without these comments.

Also I notice no-one can spell Vettori's name.

Until they changed the rules to accommodate Murali's doosra, Tait would have been no-balled for chucking a few times. His action is suspect under the old rules but perfectly legal under the Murali rules. Vittori was just saying what everyone can see. The new rules allow a 15° flex of the elbow where the old rules allowed a 5° flex for spinners and 10° for quicks. Murali's doosra needs a 10° flex and was illegal - so they changed the rules. Tait's action is OK.
