My definition of god includes any being or entity with a greater or broader consciousness than humans. As an atheist, I don't believe in the christian god, or any other religious deity, but that doesn't mean the seat is necessarily vacant. In time, I believe that digital consciousness can far exceed our capacity to acquire and process information from the universe around us, and it would thus fall within my definition of god. Praise to the Machine.

As for evil and/or the devil, these are concepts created by humans to put a label onto instinctive moral directives. The easiest way to tell people not to do something is to call it "evil," and tell them that God told them not to. Otherwise, you have to go into lengthy descriptions about the societal disadvantages to something as simple as murder. The devil, in my opinion, was conceived to provide a scapegoat for all of the "evil" that exists and counterbalance the omnipotent force of the concept of God, who represents all that is "good."

A supernatural being with cosmic powers

Opinion - there are many and they are all separate entities.

Perspective - I like mine and several others as well. And goddesses too.

Evil - when someone (deity, spirit or human) does something harmful intentionally.

The devil - a monotheistic invention taken from the duality religions of the time. Most religions have evil or trickster entities.

God is any entity capable of acting outside the laws of the universe. There is no reason to suppose that any such thing exists. For more on this, see:

A "god" is anything or anyone that a person believes is THE source of power and supreme in their lives.

This could be money, the governent, beauty, nature, etc.... or even themselves.

Jewhova(yes I know i misspelled it, its called blasphemy have a problem with that?), is the true devil. Lucifer the bringer of LIGHT is the true God. Jewhova mains, kills, judges, and punishes. Lucifer brings Light and knowledge. He also accepts us for who we are. Tell me which one sounds more like your idea of a God?
