I guess I want to know how prepared people would really be when ( not If) the time comes.
What would be the first thing you'd do?
If your family was wiped out, would you commit suicide, or continue to fight on alone?
If the government was vaporized, and no one to help you, where would you go first?
Would you, could you , resort to cannibilism to survive ?
When the bombs finally fall, would you prefer to be on ground zero, or survive the blast?

Where I live would be vaporized in the first attack on the US. So I'm as prepared as I can BE.

I have a gun, so I guess I'm about 10% prepared if I survive the initial blast. I would never commit suicide, I would find a girl (or 2 or 3) and start the world again. I would go the army base first; take as much dried food, weapons and diesel as I could fit into one of their trucks and drive to the hills. On the way I would stop at a library and get all the books on hunting, fishing etc so I could survive. Basic things like tools (growing food) and carpentary equipment for building would be necessary. (There is more but you get the drift) Why would their be no animals to hunt? If their were not, I would certainely eat humans to live. If you alive you've always got hope. Death is absolute. I am a fighter, I would lead us to salvation.
I never did say the first thing I would do. I guess rejoice that world would have a chance to start again without USA dictating everything. The bomb would their fault now doubt.

I'm not prepared for a nuclear war, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays winning the World Series, or Ron Paul as President. They are all fantasies.

Preparing for a nuclear strike, let alone a nuclear war, is impossible. End of story.
