The very next opportunity you get to see or talk to your manager tell him you changed your mind about the advice you gave him and you think it is wrong because the two of them are married and someone may get hurt. Always think before you answer or simply say you had not thought about it or you do not know even if you do have an opinion when it comes to someone who is married. You said you two are super tight so he should understand. Try your best to fix this and you should be okay.

He asked for your input and perspective. You told him the truth as you thought it to be. You made a prediction and one that's probably right on the button. But you didn't encourage him. What another person does is their responsibility, not yours. He could have also (theoretically) obtained encouraging information from someone or somewhere else, and acted upon it. So the bottom line is: you're absolved of guilt. He was going to cheat even if you were home all day and never participated in this event.

As you get older you'll learn not to let people suck you into the middle of things like that by soliciting your opinion. But for now, even if this guy goes out and breaks his vows with his coffee date, it's not your fault: he knows he's married and he knows no one has released him from that obligation. What he does or doesn't do is on him.

You are definately not a bad person because they are adults, and responsible for making their own decisions. You are the person he gets advice from so you might want to remind him that he needs to be completely honest with his wife, and think about her husband because this could turn into a big deal and cause a lot of problems.

Wow! Ten points for the best answer! That's special! Nobody's gonna be happy if you don't say, "Hey. I think you're doing the wrong thing!" What's the point in making him happy if you destroy another half a dozen lives in the process? Fool!

I don't think that you are a bad person for telling the truth about your observations. I think you should tell him that, it's OK to have a crush, as long as you don't act on it, and that it makes you uncomfortable to think that he might be throwing away his marriage. Hopefully their flirting won't lead to anything and one of them will realize that their relationship shouldn't grow into anything more.

Just don't get involved, they are wrong to involve you at all
If they decide to cheat on their husbands and wives, that's their business but they don't need a 3rd party
I understand you're trying to be helpful but in this situation you could potentially get into trouble

Just say, buddy I love you like a brother but it would kill me to see you ruin your marriage for a little fling. Please think it over before you ask that lady out. I think she likes you but do you like her well enough to lose the family you have now.
