How should I turn guys down when they ask me out (without being rude)?

You might start with something like:

"I know that it probably took a lot of nerve for you to ask me out and I really do appreciate that you made the effort but at this time, I have to say no."

You do not owe them an explanation unless you want to give them one.

Just one other thing, please do not spread it around that (Insert guy's name here) asked you out and you said no. That is almost more hurtful than being laughed at in the face because everybody will taunt and tease the guy then.

Good luck.

I suppose this depends if the guy asks you to flat out be his girlfriend or just asks you out on a date. Either way, even if you do not like him, tell him you'd like to go on a date and see how things go between the two of you. Once you're on your date drive him crazy. And no, not in a good way. Be obnoxious and hard to deal with. Don't be completely fake, you'll have to believe in your new personality and just don't lead him on. Soon enough he'll probably decide that he made the wrong decision in liking you. Hope this helps :)

Just say sorry and you aren't open.
You can tell them that you aren't ready for a relationship or uncomfortable about it. Or you just don't want a relationship.
There's alot. Just try not to be rude or impolite or hurt the guy's feelings. Make it reasonable...

Always wear a fake ring on your middle finger if you go out, so you're ready to show the guy a sign that you're taken.

Just say that you would like to date them but you are going through a tough time right now(make something up) if their not that close to you then they'll get over it.

Tell them "no".

It's the best thing in the long wrong. it might result in a minute of awkwardness, but the truth is always worth it.
