It is apparent that most Christians are unaware of any history before JC, historical or otherwise. The amount of answers in this forum is enough to support this statement, along with the most recent Sherri Shepard incident.
Most would see this as a symptom of, not a consequence to the teaching of Creationism. My question is: Is Creationism another attempt to erase evidence and prop up the Christian claim as the "supreme religion" and only source of knowledge for mankind?

Welcome to The Age of Irrationalism.

Instinct and ignorance are more valued than working class intellect, and the revulsion goes up the more a person is educated.

this could properly be a tad biased. I advise, there have been Christian extremists going a teeny bit loopy and killing human beings too. I undergo in innovations whilst countless them theory it grew to grow to be precise into an excellent theory to kill medical medical doctors who performed abortions. And via an identical token, now not all Islamic extremists blow up colleges. I, for one, am nervous approximately extremism in all that's varieties. A fervent theory in something is sweet to a element, even though it could additionally lead a guy or woman to end somewhat particularly strange and delightful stuff.

Yes. It's an attempt to erase not only history, but also science, and to infiltrate the teaching of their religion in public schools.
But that will never happen, as creationism is nothing more than a laughable pseudo-science.

Nope... Creationism is the bewildered knowledge of existence...

They could not deny that the water level is defiant of the Darwinian thoughts... the interactions of water and land based animals are evident... thereby evolved in the crossing of hands. At this point, magnetic existence upon the establishments is defined into the sensibility to understand the floating earth... hmmmnnn, It's seems I'm into it. :o) ... Now if you allow me to rock on... the signature left from Egyptian Bulb... is a great indicator of Christian faith and the Creationism survives in it.

But be of thanks to the Christians of where it is now as history repeat itself and no one can defy it as you might noticed as of now... the second coming of the spirit is inevitable. "Forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."

And the last but not the least, securing the genetical heritage by Holy Scheming is seems absurd but not that bad at all... as we are secured. So, peace be with you and have a happy religioning and keep up the spirit as I will just keep my faith unto Jesus.

Any Christian who reads the Bible knows that there is history at least 2000 years before Christ. Why do you say that "most Christians are unaware" if we know this? Christians believe that God created the heavens and the earth, why, because God said so. Why do you consider this to be a prop. Neither Christians, nor God need props.

The Biblical creation account is a portrayal of the true history of the earth as dictated by the only eye witness.

Christians seem to value "answers" to questions...so they make them up in a way that suits them.....the same way they did in biblical times. What bothers me more is how they keep trying to re-write American history to infuse it with religion, so they can justify mixing their religion with the government.

Yes, creationism is to make it so Christianity's viewpoint is right, and that no one else may have a say.
