Sure, this is great advice for curing leprosy:Leviticus(14:2-52) "This shall be the law of the leper."
God's law for lepers: Get two birds. Kill one. Dip the live bird in the blood of the dead one. Sprinkle the blood on the leper seven times, and then let the blood-soaked bird fly away. Next find a lamb and kill it. Wipe some of its blood on the patient's right ear, thumb, and big toe. Sprinkle seven times with oil and wipe some of the oil on his right ear, thumb and big toe. Repeat. Finally find another pair of birds. Kill one and dip the live bird in the dead bird's blood. Wipe some blood on the patient's right ear, thumb, and big toe. Sprinkle the house with blood 7 times. That's all there is to it. By the way, rabbits don't chew cud.Swallowing the stuff that comes out of rabbit butts isn't remotely close to regurgitating and chewing cud.Rabbits aren't built for it.Just like the biblical authors made this mistake,so have others.

Parts of it tried to be, but keep in mind that any scientific thought in it is over 2000 years old and was not very well thought out even for that time.
What the Bible resembles most is a copy (an old copy) of Readers Digest. It has some jokes and riddles. Some historical fantasy, a bit of history, a bit of poetry and a few sections on civics.
So not a science book, no. Not a history or sociology text either.
It is the collected writings of a rather minor desert tribe up until about 2000 years ago.

Not now. Science means facts not changeable. But the original New Testament before King Constantine changed it is the Gospel of the Nazirens Teaches Universal Truths like Karma, reincarnation, No one goes to hell eternally, etc. for info google gospelofthenazirenes.com very enlightening.

Not by a long shot. According to modern science, bats are not birds, nor do we live on a flat earth, both of which God says are indeed fact. Those are just two of many examples found in the Bible.

No, the bible is a man-made book, meant to inspire people to be humane.
However, it was (and is) controlled by people with an agenda and like most agendas, it's about money and power.

It's a man-made book, written by man, edited by man, used by man to control man.

Not only is it not scientific, what facts it does contain are dodgy. For example, it implies that the mathematical constant pi is 3. This is rather inaccurate.

Yeah totally, like this one guy took a verse, then translated it into old hebrew, then took the numerical representation of those letters, then he divided it by some random number and he got Pi! It was so weird, almost like a coincidence, but it wasn't because God isn't a coincidence, at least that's what my parents told me everyday for 18 years until I moved out and knew nothing about reality but hey hope that answers your question.

The Bible is about man's relationship with God. As such it may not contain information which, while true, is irrelevant to the subject.

It certainly is not. It is an overview for a people who had little to no scientific knowlege. God is telling man that He created not how He created.
