My parents are all in my business. They basically end up knowing everything I do. If I go out and come home, they ask "where have you been" I'm not going to lie about it, b/c I really don't have anything to hide. But, it's just annoying. It's almost like, I end up being somewhat under a microscope.

Also, my parents tend to worry, even though I'm older. If the weather is bad and I'm out, I get a few annoying phone calls telling me to get home b/c my mom is worried about me.

But, what are you going to do? Rent is expensive and my parent's don't charge. So, I guess it's a small price to pay while I'm saving up money.

First I would like to say that I am very sorry that any of you young people have had to deal with your parents reacting very badly to your sexual identity. Second, for Confused, I am a very conservative Republican and yet I have quite a few "gay" friends. My daughter had a brief fling with one of her close female friends and the only problem I had with it was the fact that they didn't seem to understand the concept of discretion. While I have always enjoyed intimate acts out of doors, I only engaged in a private setting. Like most of my conservative friends I really don't care who you love or how you love each other. What you do in private is none of my concern. Over the top PDA is what I object to. And for the record, some of the most violently anti-gays I've ever known were 'liberal' Democrats. Finally, having been treated as you have been by members of your own family you know more than most the pain that the words of those you care for can cause. To me the most perfect revenge is to live your life in the best way possible. Be kind and loving to all, including those who have hurt you so. Always be willing to extend a helping hand and always look for the best in others. Be cautious, because some will try to take advantage of your kindness. Treat all people as you want to be treated. If you flaunt your lifestyle and the fact that you love someone of the same sex then expect animosity - people are afraid of that which they don't understand.

I dont know what the worst thing would be but, I know if I could do it over I would have stayed at home worked hard, saved my money, helped my parents and had a great career, money in the bank and a great relationship with my parents. But, when your young you dont think the way you would when you are older and wiser.
