People and governments putting their trust in money are really putting their trust in something other than the creator. See 2 Cor 4:3 and 1 John 5:19

It wasn't in the past when America acknowledged the God Yahweh who allowed it to become such a great nation. But now that America has turned it's back on it's God, Yes it is now blasphemous.

To Christians - it would be if they thought about it but they'd rather crow about it being a "Christian" country and point out that our currency says it so it must be so.
