I was wondering if you drank nothing but lets say 1 liter of water a day for 1 week, how would it effect your body? Would your metabolism get screwed up? I've heard that people have had nothing but water for as long as 2 months. The average person woud lose about 4 pounds, a lot more if you're overweight or active. Health experts needed!

I would like to add that I don't plan to do this, I was just wondering what the effects would be.

Note: how could you be dehydrated from drinking nothing but water??

well if you do that, once you eat again your body will try to get every nutrien possible because thats what your bod is starving for, so youll lose weight for a week, but youll put it back on and then some. you need to eat carbs to boost up your metabolsm, eat low fat, and low calorie, dont eat too many carbs but enough that you will burn off when you exercise.stay hydrated too.

Sometimes its good to fast and drink water. I have done it, and the first two days can be hard, but after that I felt fine. My metabolism didn't get screwed up. I do it for health reasons, not dieting. I'm sure I have lost some weight I usually only do it for 1 or 2 weeks I never did it for months.

You dont want to drown urself!

But its not healthy, you need protein and substance in your body to live. not just hydrogen and oxygen!!

But if you did that for a day or two, it would hurt, it will help you clean out your body the healthy way.

And too, your body wll get so stared that it will try to live off of your fat, so it will hold on even more!

So just stck to a healthy diet plan and excersize every day, and you will lose more weight than 4 pounds.

You said nothing about your weight.

I went from 246, 50+ waist to 183, 34 waist. Diet, exercise and time. Do it right and you will keep it off for good.

I started with the Adkins diet. Read the book carefully and don't go over board with it.
