why does there have to be a better or a worst denomination? Isn't that completely contradicting the fundamentals of christianity? geez.
I grew up Southern Baptist. I was raised that Catholics were the worst denomination in Christianity. I am now pagan/wiccan. I got sick of the negativity. ;)

Je suis embarras par les choisies
I am embarrassed by the choises.
That is hard to pick, especially out of so many groups(particularly Fundamentalist Protestant groups) that intentionally misrepresent most of the others and soeagerly and smugly damn all non-whatevers.
I know lovely and loving Babdists as well as really nasty and ignorant and arrogant ones but i have never found a group of people of any sort that did not have both the former and the latter.
I do agree that their anthropology(view of the human) and their sola fideist view of salvation lead to open and warm views of "the people who don't believe just as we do"

No. It seems like a lot of Southern Baptists are good cooks- beyond that I don't know enough to say..
The only truly 'evil' denomination are those who call themselves "messianic jews" who are absolutely NOT Jews. They were started by some southern baptists who wanted to convert "real" jews who lacked Jewish education.

You are asking the people who answer your question to make a judgment call. ~~~That in itself is wrong.
Are you perhaps trying to stir up trouble ??
No matter the religion, ~~ the church is for the sinner.
Won't you consider affiliating with one.
God is good & you are welcome.
I am a dedicated Southern Baptist and we study from & follow the teachings of the Holy Bible. ~~~
We are not competeing to place. ~~ Merry Christmas !!!

Well, my father was Southern Baptist and I didn't like him much, so I guess you are right. But maybe not.

As long as a denomination follows its tenets and is nonviolent and caring then it is just fine.

Are they the ones that protest gays at funerals? That's my least favorite. Any group could turn wicked and violent over thinking that God is on their side. I prefer the Christians that try to be Good Samaritans to the World.

Why are you fighting against people who basically share the same views as you? It's like an Atheist fighting with an Agnostic - it just doesn't happen.

Nah, second worst. Jehovah Wittnesses are first. I recieved an e-mail the other day, one of several exactly, that corrected me and stated that their beliefs stated that only 144,000 are going to Heaven, and that they will be ruling over who remains on earth. Okay they have 6.5 million followers, and they are in the religion to hold partial rule over the earth?
Sounds a bit egotistical dosen't it?

The run a close second to the TV Evangelists who get rich off stupid people. They are all a bunch of control freaks.
However, it is nice to hear about some other religon besides morman's and Jehovah's witnesses for a change.
this is a first for the Babtists though
