What is your opinion on Missionary work?

Do u believe missionary work is right, and that it's alright that missionaries are like messengers for god, converting people to christianity?

I am alright with the idea of bringing aid to people but not if there is some sort of agenda. That's just putting a pretty picture on a turd in my opinion.

We have a responsibility to share the gospel of Christ - yes it should be in our neighbour hoods but also around the world. As long as missionaries are not pushy and respectful I believe that they are out their doing Gods work. A missionaries job is not to convert people but to teach them and help the Holy Ghost to convert them.

Aside for the fact that missionary work has a historically bloody past I do not care for it.

The question is are you out there to genuinely try to help people or "save souls"

If you require religious participation in order for them to receive your services you are doing more harm than good.

If people have doubts or questions, they will seek out answers. They do not need strangers with poor debating skills attempting and failing to make any difference by asking annoying questions about the nature of evil.
You may have guessed, I had a caller to my door earlier, and told them politely that I was not interested in their literature.

I think that mission work should start in your own backyard. If you're going to convert people to a certain religion, why to you have to go halfway round the world to do it?
