No. A person has a right to have any preference he wants. I was always a person who would not date a woman unless she had green eyes.
A person can have other preferences regarding how tall or short a person is. I used to work with a guy who always called short girls "dwarf trolls" and would only date girls if they were taller than 5 ft 8 inches -- I must admit that it was tasteless, but it was another example of a personal preference.

If your white, it's not racist at all, you just view other races not fitting you right. If your latino or black, it makes me think of how you view your own race, your mother, your sister, your friends. So if you were latino and black I won't say that your racist as the way people think, but I certainly think you have issues and have given in to the white-washing of the media. But that's just one man's opinion. Peace ;-)

well i'm guessing that many black or latino women would think so, but i think it is just honest, you simply don't have an attraction for some types of women, however, first ask yourself deep down if it is really attractiveness or something else (in other words, really?, NO latino or black women are attractive to you? Halle Berry? Jennifer Lopez? none? or is it just not usually?) there could be something more there, depending on your answer.

I've never understood this attitude. So if someone isn't attracted to a person who happens to be a different race they're a racist? I'm not physically attracted to some races, but that doesn't stop me from having friends and otherwise good relationships. It's one thing to say "I don't like ___ people" and another to say "I'm not attracted to them". Some people like dark dark skin and deep brown eyes, some like pale blondes with blue eyes...is that prejudiced? Plenty of people have different preferences and so long as it doesn't interfere with how they interact with people of different races then no, it is not racist. It's all a person's preference.

Attraction is chemical, it is what it is. You can't force it. Personally, those that flip my switch tend to have brown hair, and blue or green eyes. Does this make me racist? As I've never met a black man, or a latino man with those physical traits. I also don't date redheads, they don't turn me on... does this mean I'm anti-Irish as well? Just because what attracts me is a rather narrow list, doesn't mean I can't, won't be friends with whomever I find interesting.

I don't think they'd be considered racist. It's like saying I don't like Indian Food. I'm not racist, I just don't have the taste for it. I am a black woman that married a Latino. But I never was prejudice. You don't have to try it to say you don't like it. It's all a matter of 'taste.' And in the matter of relationships, it's a matter of feelings.

Not at all, the statement you made says he doesn't find them attractive. Everyone has their own idea of the type of woman they are attracted to and they can't help that. I have many friends of different colors but am not attracted to dark skinned men or Oriental men. I'm not a racist I just know who I like and what I find attractive to me.

No he is stating what he prefers. I could just as easy state I dont like latino or black men.Its not racist to me.Its like saying I like redhair or I dont like men with a lot of freckles. The only way it is racist is if you dont like them for racist reasons or stereotypes. Its not racist if you simply dont find them appealing. Yet you still havent met them all. That is the clincher just when I said to my freind I dont like black men I walked around the corner and saw the cutest blueyed black man Ive ever seen.So keep an open mind. I never talked to him though. In general dont find them attractive.

I don't think so because, I personally find every type of women OTHER than white women to be attractive, and I'm not racist.....
You're attracted to whomever your attracted to and that is that.
Of course a racist could, also hold that belief as well.
Only you know your motivations for attraction, or a lack there of.
If someone says that you are, simply ask them if they are straight, or gay.
If they say they are straight ask if them if they consider themselves a homophobe because they are not attracted to the same sex, or if they are gay ask them if they consider themselves a....hedrophobe (or whatever term you can think of) because they are not attracted to members of the opposite sex.

I can't say why this person discounts two whole races of women, but I think there are attractive and less-attractive people of every race.
