What causes large bags under the eyes?

I'm type 2 diabetic & have high blood pressure.
Is this related, or indication of another problem.

The large, bruiselike bags under your eyes probably have nothing to do with diabetes. Sometimes these bags can be genetic, and sometimes your blood vessels in that area leak and pool under your eyes. If you eat a lot of salt, you may be more likely to get these bags as well, but not necessarily. Probably nothing to worry about.

Alot of people ge them, i dont have diabeetes but its ushally cause by lack of sleep so try getting more sleep it shuould get better in time, it did for me.
