David is one of the most famous biblical characters. However, he is really a bad guy. If you read the Old Testament, you'd be surprised at the horrible things that David does. In one story, David sleeps with another man's wife. He has the husband killed, so he can be with the women.
It really makes you thing about the Bible and it's teachings.

The truth is God the Father was disappointed in David, because of all the killing he did, for lusting after another man's wife and for having his son Solomon build a temple and throne honoring Satan.
The Word of God told David not to buld a place for God to dwell in, The word of God told David that God's Son Jesus the Christ would build God a church for His Father, but David son, Solomon built a church anyways.

He was a king of the Jews and a descendant of Jesus. He slew the giant Goliath with a catapult. The Jewish symbol is the star of David. He was king after King Solomon I think. Because he was Jewish he would have had brown eyes and brown hair and a tan. He lived in the Middle East, I would guess in Judea, the holy land somewhere.

David was a King who is referred to as a man after God's own heart. He was a sinner, no doubt, committed countless sins. BUT, he was repentant, and loved God with all his heart.
He wrote most of the Psalms as well.

Sure - he was the youngest and least favored son of a poor shepherd named Jessie.
He was chosen to be King of Israel by God and anointed by Samuel the prophet for that purpose to the bewilderment of his family.
He was small but he made a name for himself with his courage and his faith in God when he killed a huge & well armored man named Goliath with a slingshot.
The current king named Saul got jealous of him & hunted him down but couldn't kill him. Eventually when Saul died, David became king of Israel.
-----------
As king, David usually stuck close to the will of God - he wrote many of the Psalms in the bible. However - he married many wives and neglected his family - 2 things the bible says not to do. He also committed adultery with Bathsheeba and had her husband murdered so he could cover up the fact she was pregnant by him.
God punished him for this & his family then began to fall apart - his favorite son rose up in rebellion against him but was killed. Another one of his sons raped one of his daughters... it was awful.
He tried to build a temple for God but God told him he was to much of a violent man to build a temple for God. Instead his son Solomon built the temple after his father died.
