Some people are just sick and there are no answers. Some people just like to invent the answer that it is sanctioned by the community, something that I assure you Christians have also done in their day of stoning/burning THEIR daughters for heresy also.

I encourage you to read up on the culture. They have a system based on honor and shame. It would take me a long long time to explain it to you, so find a good non-biased book about the culture of the Pakistani people. It has been going on for years and continues to this day and women are not held in high regards. It is just like if a man's daughter is raped, she ends up being the guilty one and that is part of their cultural beliefs.
