I am waiting on the "SJ" (it might be SJA?)to sign off on my medical discharge paperwork, in order to start checking out.
Who is the SJ?
It has to be a Navy "cat" because im going along with the HM1 and other billet descriptions they have inplace of their ranks.
My thinking is that he is above the Colonal who is in my command, but i am not sure.

After further thought i was thinking it stood for Staff Judge Advocate!?!?!
I Hope someone can help me in describing to me who this person is.

This is for the AF. All branches are different. There is no such thing as an Enlisted Officer. You are either Enlisted or an Officer. If you are taken as an Officer you will enter as a 2LT. Only Professionals entering as Officers (doctors and such) enter as higher than a 2LT. If you enter as Enlisted, you will be an E-3. No one enters Enlisted ranks as an NCO straight off. You have to earn those stripes through hardwork.
