Most Bibles are reasonably accurate. I personally use KJV and try to avoid newer translations translated from the Alexandrian manuscripts (NIV, ASV, NASB, etc) but even with these most of the problems seem minor. The biggest problem is people taking verses out of context. Ask yourself how many different denominations claim that the KJV is the "word of God" yet have major disagreements between them? I would suggest comparing
several of the better known translations side by side. An easy way to do this is use a Bible search website such as blueletterbible.org . You will find 12 or so translations there.

i CANNOT SAY WHICH "Churches" have lied. Personally being of the Catholic faith I can say I do not believe the Catholic CHURCH has ever lied. Now the people that are a part of the faith is another story. Occasionally people lie, but the CHURCH NEVER HAS. And I would suggest getting a Catholic Bible. Though I also own a KJV bible it is not complete, some of the books have been removed from the original in the KJV and I "think" some other changes have been made due to disagreement as to what is actually meant in the old writings but what those are I cannot say. The Catholic bible is the same bible that was used by ALL Christians before the protestant break.

If a church doesn't teach and lead by the Holy Spirit RUN.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to a good church ,He will be glad to. I like the New King James Version and the open bible format for easy study and cross referencing. The problem I have with the original King James is not with the bible but that people start talking old English style the more they read it . I think that intimidates some into believing they may be in the midst of a cult.

The King James Version of the Holy Bible is the best version.
Not the New King James but the regular King James.

I have been using the NIV for the past 20 or 25 years and lately I've been reading the ESV, which translation was completed in 2001, more and more lately.

Some churches do tell lies to their people.

The churches which tell lies which will cost you your soul in hell we call false cults.

Below I will give you a link to about 50 of the better denominations in the USA.

The biggest lie the "church" has ever lied....the new testament!!

After many years of searching, the link below proved to me what I have thought for years. After spending 60 years as a christian, I still felt a loss...almost like someone died. But, I would rather know the truth. This will not effect the way I live my life, what is left of it. I don't need the "church" telling me to be good to others, love all life, love myself, love my Higher Power, be generous, kind, compassionate, and true.

1. God is a trinity
2. The soul is immortal
3. There is fire in hell
4. Mary remained a virgin
5. All good people go to heaven
6. The earth will be destroyed
7. "Once saved always saved"
to mention a few lies.

I personally prefer the New World Translation. The language is modern and clear. Most importantly, God's name Jehovah is replaced where it had been removed in other versions like the King James Version about 7,000 times.

As per bible scribes were liars.
Look for actual words of Jesus in bible, (red).
A) Mark 12:29:
"the Lord our God, the lord is One"

B) Metthew: 26:39:
"He went a little farther and fell on His face and prayed"

Jesus prayed to one God
C) Matthew 4:10
"You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him only you shall serve"

Bible contains word of God, historians, others, others, translated changing meaning of words, word "son" has been used just not for jesus but for human beings in general and other prophets, but today's understanding makes one go in just one direction.

The King James Bible was very good for its time and still makes a good reference bible.
That God tortures conscience human souls forever. To keep anything alive just to torture it makes him into a monster.
In Jeremiah he condemed the Baal worshippers because they burned their first born child in the fire. Using the words,
"something that had never come up into my heart for anyone to do" In a few seconds the child was dead and feeling nothing. yet, God felt the practice was so bad they all deserved to die. so that leads me to believe he would never
torture conscience human souls forever.

Everybody lies.
Best version is the Interlinear - word for word translation of original Greek and Hebrew. Can't complain about that.
