The beautiful thing about believing, is that it is a personal thing. it's not about proof. What you believe is how you feel, how you respond to life, others and how you live. It really doesn't have to be an argument. We all walk different paths this inevitably means we all have different perspectives. For me this is great, exciting and what keeps us all going.... the more different perspectives the better i say. Makes for great conversation, and learning experiences.

Since atheists and Christians are each a fairly large group of people, I suspect the average intelligence of each group would be about the same - average. I've seen some unbelievably dumb things posted by Christians. I've seen equally stupid things posted by atheists. I've also seen thoughtful, insightful comments from both. For me, at least, the question is not who's smarter (answers you've already received not withstanding) and it's not about whether God exists or not. I have my answer, they have theirs. For me, it's mostly about understanding someone else's point of view.
It would be nice if the bickering were to stop, though. I think that's scheduled for right after pigs fly.

I basically get instructed i circulate to hell and that as a lesbian i'm an abomination and that i could desire to be shot interior the pinnacle or killed some incorrect way, and different issues that are no longer in fantastic condition to style right here; it somewhat is basically Christians that i understand of that don't approve of homosexuality or Atheism, and the insults I get carry of are in many instances accompanied via settle for Jesus or burn in hell, so I doubt they got here from a Confucian.

This question makes absolutely no sense, but if you are trying to figure out which side is smarter, it all depends on what you believe in. If you are trying to decide on a religion, using yahoo answers is not going to help, you need to follow what you think is right.

No. There'll always be arguments about God, it'll never stop, ever.
I have no idea how atheists can prove that God doesn't exist. It just doesn't make any sense.

I think there is intelligent people on both sides of the question. Then there are those who fail to realize this. In my opinion they either don't want to see this or they truly are the dumb ones.

The argument really is "Me Uga. Me pound chest. My tribe good. You tribe bad."
Until each of us deal with each person as an individual, progress will never be made.

Isn't it funny that it's atheists vs Christians? There are more religions than one out there.
I'd like to meet the people who are smart enough to prove that God does exist. They'd have to be pretty smart.
As for smart people arguing, http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1555132-1,00.html there you are. smart people arguing.

There is no proof of God and there is no proof there is no God. One side relies on blind Faith and the other side relies on logic.
There are some very smart people on both sides of the issue.
