Normally you use uncooked oats for cookies, but now I'm wondering what would happen if you used the cooked variety! Also, for a change of pace, I dip half of the oatmeal cookies in chocolate and then drizzle them with white chocolate. Yummy!

You use uncooked oatmeal in Oatmeal Cookies - it cooks while the cookies bake.

Get a container of Quaker old fashioned Oats and follow the recipe on the back. One hint, soak the raisins in a little warm water before using. The will plump up and not be dry once cooked. Drain before putting in the batter.
Do not use quick cooking oats.
**** luck and enjoy
Oatmeal are my favorite.

most recipes call for uncooked oats, but if you toast them (five or ten minutes in the oven on a baking sheet at 350), they will be extra crunchy and oat-y in your cookies. this is tasty, but you have to be careful because they burn fast!
