I am registering for classes for next semester and I would like to take both French and Italian at the same time... Question is: does anybody have a success story about learning two languages at once? Where they similar languages?

No problems. Learning one will help you learn the other. You will easily differentiate them and should have a lot of fun.

Go ahead my native language is Arabic and i learned English. Now i am learning French and I'll be starting the Spanish so soon. Languages are fun and may be we can help each other in the French.

I am taking German and Japanese courses right now, during weekends.
Not too bad, maybe I can score a bit on their certification exams.
But the downside is that... expensive, trying to support your life and taking courses for an expatriate is not easy.

Nope, German and Japanese, obviously are not related.
But it's fun to learn two things at one time.

I don't see you having a problem, since we see you're smart enough to not be indimidated by doing so.

French and Spanish are similar, anyone, as they both stem from Latin. Should be a great experience. :)

Cheers.

im taking french and korean at the same time. they are deff not similar lol. i think that if they were similar, that would make it harder cuz its easier to confuse things. at first i would confuse things a bit but its not bad at all.
