I want to construct a magic apparatus that will enable a small electric shock to travel from the device through my body to the spectator's hand just my touching my hand to theirs. I would really like to buy this device, but it's a little expensive, so I'd rather build one myself. Any tips?
Check the hyperlinked website for a preview of the real device and to understand the desired effect.

Thanks

Part of this conjuring circuit contains an H.V. shock circuit (for the magician), and it might work if he/she touches the spectator. It's worth a try -- the circuit is simple and cheap enough to build.

So what is magical about an electric shock toy????

The only miracle would be if you did not have beer chugs thrown at you by the audience for showing such a lame "trick".

I'm thinking that you could get someone in the audience to shoot a Taser at the "victim" at the appropriate time. That, as the ad says, could really "kill" your crowd.

Or, you could charge a high power capacitor, insulate the leads, and run the leads to your fingertip. When you touch the victim with the uninsulated tips of the leads....

Engineers and Magicians are just alike. We do things other people cannot understand, and we are surrounded by beautiful women.

It's uncanny!

But one thing we don't do is shock people on purpose. We get tired of the lawsuits...
