It's really quite torn apart after choosing a practicing gay to become a bishop. I'm not interested in whether it's OK for a bishop to be gay, I just want to know if the church is going to survive the decision. I'm not sure that it is, at least, as a whole entity. It's already been put on notice by the world communion of Anglicans.

Possibly not as a single entity. I read an article (I'll try to find it again) that said that the Anglican church's efforts in Africa were significantly more evangelical than the mainline of the church, so it effectively created a radical sect within the denomination. So you've got mainline, liberal Anglicans in England and the US, and evangelical, conservative Anglicans in Africa.

I believe that one day very soon all churches will be absorbed into a one world religion headed and controlled by the Catholics.
