I'm still in highschool but am planning on going the medical field route to become a pediatrician. However I want to move to the UK later and heard that doctors there are not paid enough and I would be better off living here. Is this true?

Also will I be employed there even though I graduated from an American medical school?

Thanks for any information.

Too much obviously, looking at the NHS.

What's more, they're paid too much for what they do. Ok, so they study for years and may not get a job as a local GP till they're in their 30's... but what do they do all day? They make sure they get every person quickly done with by just suggesting the first thing that comes to their mind.
Some docs are nicer than this and have feelings. Some are just bone idle and can't be bothered, being no help at all. My dad has bad Ciaticha down his back and leg, the doctor just told him to take pain killers! he went again and was referred to a specialist...

£100k from the NHS and probably a lot more in the private sector. After all, some fools pay £10,000 for plastic boobs, and they look worse than before. Even bigger fools pay £50,000 for a facelift and most of them look like a Chinaman in a wind tunnel.
