A year is nothing, talk to him, get to know him, find out if he's the guy you think he is.. and if so - go for it :)
But a warning - don't get too obsessed for two reasons, 1. It can set you up for a hard fall. And 2. It might creep the guy out a bit :P

Be friends first -- don't freak him out by telling him you're obsessed with him!! A year isn't that big of a difference, so don't think about that -- just think of him as another person. Get to know him, hang out, maybe the crush will have a little more substance.

The first thing you need to do is find out if he likes you or not.
If he does, then how much. The only way for you to do this is to ask him. You might ask one of your friends to ask him for you. Being young before, some 30 years ago, I know how uncomfortable this type of situation can be. When you find out the answer, then you can pursue him accordingly. You will continue to feel this way until you know for sure how he feels about you. That my dear child, is the honest truth.

Let him know you like him or at least talk to him amd make a foundation to work on. If you're like stalker obsessed you should maybe lay off but if not it's just a natural crush and you should act on it. =] x

Girl get a grip. "Obsessed" is a bad thing. You need to get a hold of your feelings, it is one thing to really care for a person and another thing to be obsessed with them. Gee.

Older guys can be more fun, if you are an adult. However if you are a minor their can be huge consequences for dating someone older.
