They say many folks suffer more depression and anxiety this time of year than any other. Are you one of these people??? Do you wish things were as they used to be, when days were happier? Maybe you have lost someone near and dear to you. Who or what will you turn to at this time ??? My best wishes to all of you who are sad.

I am a little sad this year. Not overwhelminly so, to the point of classifying it as depression. I try very hard to think of my blessings every day and that helps to counter balance the grief. I lost my brother a few years ago to a motorcycle accident and I passed a motorcycle wreck today that just happened and the cyclist was on the ground with people hovering over him and it was emotional for me. I cried most of the way home. My dad also died this year, and my brother in law. The holidays can be tough after losing our loved ones but we have to focus on those we have left and not spoil the times we can still share together. God bless!!

The holidays is a painful time for some as they lost spouse and loved ones. My nieghbor where I used to live was killed in an automobile accident December 17, 1979 and it was so sad he would have been a live if the airbags were not defective the sad thing was he was killed about 10 minutes from where he lived so his wife and kids always had to pass that road to go home and that must have been so hard. I lost my pastor in 2003 and I still miss him dearly he was a wonderful anionted man of God who truly loved others. Thank you for the loving reminder to pray for those who have trouble coping for the holidays. My friend died when she was 31 around christmas and I cried for weeks and I did not even want to celebrate christmas I was so devistated It will be 11 years this coming week pray for the family they have moved on but some things you never get over some things you get through hugsoooooooooooooooe4g

YES, I often wish for the way things were when I was a child.

Has been over 25 years of not having the family get togethers we had as I was growing up.

This is also my FIRST Christmas since my Dad passed on Dec. 27, 2006. It is NOT a good time for me at all....

I had a patient in the hospital, dying, with his sons at his bedside... so VERY hard , me crying all the time, and appologizing.... but I was not able to be at my dad's bedside when he passed, so I had alot of reasons to cry.... besides for that man's sons....

Not at all sad. I have adult kids in Maryland, Texas, and Tennessee and all will be celebrating with their families in the same Christian tradition that was honored in their home when they were children. I am happy for them because they appreciate the truth of Christmas.

Your right Hon and they say pets do also.
I wish there was someone around, no one should have to spend Christmas alone. I'll just turn to my depression pills. Thank you for caring...that is so sweet.

i used to be one of those people. between the lack of sunlight, the chaos of the season and my own insecurities, i was a mess. love those anti depressants though. without them. i don't know where i'd be. it's really thoughtful of you to give best wishes to those who are suffering.

You are so sweet to remember those that are hurting. This time of year use to be really hard on me because of childhood abuse and I would be flooded with horrible memories. This year though I have received enough healing, where I am really enjoying myself.
