It should be fine. Keep it in the coldest part of your refrigerator (usually the bottom shelf). Leave it in its original packaging.

Often fresh turkeys are kept in very cold storage so they are a little bit crusty with ice without being frozen all the way through. You may even find a few ice pieces still in the cavity when you unwrap it days later. It doesn't mean it was really frozen, just highly chilled.

In the refrigerator should last about 3to 5 days if temp about 35 degrees.. I fry turkeys and usually leave them out about a day (8) hrs. before i put in oil.. have kept them several days
in the fridge before and never a problem..

Put the turkey in a 5 gallon jug

1 1/2 cup of salt (prefer kosher cause it dissolves easy and its better than table seriously)
half gallon of chicken stock and vegetable stock. ( till it touches the end of turkey)
2 sprigs of thyme

Throw in the jug and stir till salt dissolve. Put the turkey upside down head down. Put it there till you want to cook it, since bacteria hates salt, i mean hate it, they touch BOOM, so your safe.
